The A Word: Inside the World’s Largest Tech Firm* is a narrative examining the idea of Amazon written by @LegaultMike. I have over 30 years professional writing and editing experience; more details about my background and experiences can be found on my website MikeLegault.com

After working at Amazon for three years (2018 -2021), and conducting extensive research, I concluded, despite everything written and published about the company, the public knew little beyond the company’s authorized, on-point version of its own mythology.

The A Word will provide readers with new, original insights about the company, written in an entertaining and eclectic style. It will seek to bring to life the cosmopolitan atmosphere, oddball characters, peculiar practices and obsessional ideas that created a socio-economic phenomenon unlike anything seen in the history of commerce. My over-arching goal is to have some irreverent fun and delight readers writing on a topic often broached with strict seriousness.
